If he unretires, is he automatically a niner?
Do we still have his rights? If so, and if we cut him when he comes out of retirement, would that lead to dead money?

That was their only option, he can't play football anymore.
No need for an injury settlement, his contract more than likely had stipulations for this. He still received the guaranteed money.
