Lol, in no way shape or form has he ever been a top 10 RB. He wasn't even in the top 30 in rushing yards or TDs last year.

This. 3 yards per carry over his career

You can't argue he's a top 10 bellcow back.

You can definitely argue that he'll be dangerous in Shanahan offense. I good w/it.

Has never rushed for more than 600 yards, has never gotten to 1k yards from scrimmage in a season, has never had more than 5 TDs in a season.

Zero chance he has ever been in a top 10 conversation in his career.
7.5 million a year for Mckinnon. We tripping with this one. Hope he shines
McKinnon is a better fit for the scheme, but I admit I don't think he's a better pure running back than Hyde. Durability though and scheme fit I guess make that much of a difference. I sure hope this deal is HEAVILY incentivized and not straight up 7.5 million per year.

I think McKinnon adds an element the Niners havent had on this team in years. Literally. I also agree they overpaid for his services but its not my money and the guarantees are really all that matters. He isnt a feature back but super versatile and can play some WR. He is a chess piece and someone not many linebackers can cover. He is in the mold of Dion Lewis, Christian Mcaffrey or Kamara and returns kicks also.

Agreed. Great post.

He's a returner too?

Kicks only...

I said rush not touches.

You're literally the only one arguing this. Give it up. Receiving backs don't get 250 rushes.

100%

Jimmy's going to love swinging it out to him. After years of being slow as turds I'm excited to see all this speed on offense!

Slightly behind Bell who had double his rushing yards, TDs and receiving yards last year? PFF is a joke.

He's not gonna be just a RB though..dude can lineup as a WR and create miss matches out of the backfield. IF we can draft a Royce Freeman in the mid RD this could be a monster backfield.

Shanny runs 2 RBs.

Freeman makes over 8 million a year and splits rushes with Coleman. You're fixating on price.

Nice pickup, but I am curious about the contract. Seems like a lot of $.
