I think it's more about not seeing what he brings to this offense during preseason. He got hurt and they shut him down.

Big difference in your above points is that Morris had a couple seasons in Shannys offense as the lead back, McKinnon hasn't even played a game yet.
It's a bit premature imo. I don't think he's gonna be some monster but I'll take 1,500 total yards. I bet people weren't to hot on Goodwin when he first got here either.

When he was in, it was only for 3 carries and with s**t blocking. Apparently that was enough for our fans/scouts to see.

Regardless, every other back in the system there has outperformed Jet.

I'd be happy with that too and I am pretty sure that is what Kyle is expecting from him.

Goodwin was signed to a prove it deal. I was also very high on the signing because the numbers he did put up were as a dual athlete, and while not being able to even take the regular supplements NFL athletes take. He was putting himself into a severe handicap by being a dual athlete, and the cupboard was severely bare at WR. He was also a second signing to Garcon, who many envisioned being the feature WR last season.
We see what happened when he was able to fully commit to football.
Jet on the other hand was signed to top 5 RB money after failing miserably to snag the lead role for the team that drafted him. We then passed on drafting another RB in an extremely deep draft class, and went with Breida and Williams, which seems to have been a mistake now in hindsight, and thus had to sign a veteran RB that we are severely lucky to have even had available on the market this late into the off season.

McKinnon is basically getting $18 million in true guaranteed money stop acting like he's getting $30 million. If he balls out he gets all the cash. Fournette is making more guaranteed cash on his rookie deal, Mccaffrey is making the same guaranteed cash.
And yes it's like Goodwin, everyone in here was all negative Nancy when they signed him...boo hoo he's not 6-5 and 230 lbs. he can't catch balls or run routes. He's just fast...That's all I heard. No one even gave him a chance to be anything. Wrong.
So what's the problem if McKinnon goes for 1,500 all-purpose yards we got Morris to pound the rock when that's what is called for and we have McKinnon for everything else.
