This. We saw what happened when they sent Hyde out deep down the field last year. Morris is fine but can be defended like any other RB.

McKinnon had a unique combination of skills and athleticism that made him a good fit for what Shanahan really wanted this offense to become.
what a garbage signing.
Let's hope Morris pans out for us.
Just drafted him f**ker

I wish we had kept Hyde too. I know he wasn't the kind of runner that McKinnon is, but the team clearly realized we could use someone like that. Obviously they didn't want to pay Hyde the money he was asking for to stay.

You don't think we can get the same Hyde production from Alfred Morris? I bet if you compared the stats of these two backs, it would be nearly identical, with Alf being way cheaper.

To add, for good reason we didn't pay Hyde. I agree with you. Morris can do what Hyde does, and at a cheaper price. Plus, he's has far more established success in this league.
Not getting Mack now looms bigger. Pretty sure this d isn't good enough to pick up the extra slack now. We'de better hope they can or another long season looms if we lost JM

This was the risk with McKinnon. He is always nursing something. There were warnings that he couldn't take the pounding and they look to be true.

He has the skill set but never proved he could be THE guy and it looks like that's not happening anytime soon either..waste of a pickup

Doubt he would be a between the tackles as much as an average running back. They wanted him for his versatility in both the run and passing game.
Let's hope for the best on this One
Damn
DeAngelo Henderson should be brought in Asap.

It was a non-contact injury. If you had a magic crystal ball that can predict those kinds of injuries, you'd be raking in tens of millions from professional sports teams all over the world.

You cut 9,999 times and you're good and the 10,000th time you lose your footing, don't quite have your balance and boom, you tear something.

Injuries like that suck but its simply a matter of bad luck.

It was a fluke, non-contact injury. He's missed one game in his entire career.

Things like this happen.
