Trading for a new starter is short sighted. If need be you sacrifice a few wins this year to not lose draft capital for more promising future years.
This isn't a playoffs or bust year. It's an improve from 6-10 and keep the arrow up for 2019+ year. You don't overpay for short term results right now.

Several decent RB prospects just got cut. Between Morris and Breida they can eat up a fair number of carries. The Patriots also just cut Mike Gillislee.
