Morris averaged 4.8 YPC last season with a starting RG that we just released.
Against the worst defense in the NFL. But I agree he's our best option RN.

Ouch. This sucks.
Risk/reward lynch. Football is an ugly business. That's why you don't overpay for players, even a little bit, every dollar counts.
Not at all concerned that losing Jet will somehow make us more predictable. It sucks alright but shanny is still our coach have you all forgot?

Morris faced the worst defense in the NFL all of last season?

Sorry read that wrong. Not worried about Morris, he will be decent. But an explosive 3rd back would really help.

He thinks you meant in the Preseason, but you meant last year with Dallas. The addition of Alfred Morris is looking more and more like a good pick up.

I know I'll get blasted for saying this, and let me premise by saying I love Kyle, but the 49ers NEED to keep him out of the draft/FA war room.
The biggest player eval missteps of the 49ers new regime are 100% on Kyle falling in love with very specific players that don't pan out and don't meet their market value. McKinnon simply wasn't worth a $12m for yr1 deal, Beathard simply wasn't worth a high 4th and 5th, Joe Williams had no business going early 4th ahead of other stud rb's. Garcon has no business making more than $12m per at 32. I pray that McGlinchey and Pettis aren't the next in line, but the year 1 track record of Kyle's hand picked players is terrible. Amazing coach, terrible evaluation. We need to do what most teams do and get his wish list of player types he remove his emotion from the equation. He's like a homer that takes his 3rd rd ranked player in the 1st of fantasy drafts.

Morris as the #1 RB last season:
Opponent att yds ave
Atlanta 11 53 4.8
Philly 17 91 5.4
LAC 9 36 4
WAS 27 127 4.7
NYG 19 62 3.3
OAK 16 61 3.8
Also, had a 70 yd run against the Lambs.
I'll take it.
