Henderson would be interesting to bring in. And could end up being solid. But I'd be much much more happy with a proven vet over relying on a second year 6th rounder who didn't do anything last year. Very unlikely he comes in and outplays Morris/Breida/mostert.

And if you do bring him in, then who do you cut?

Also Kansas defense is trash. Bears 2nd team lit them up in the third preseason game. They sat most of their starters and still ran right through the Chiefs starters.
Doesn't McKinnons injury open up a roster spot? Or did it happen before we made cuts?

Not being snarky. I live in a cave.
I certainly hope Lynch is making some calls tonight to fill what looks like the second most important position in Shanahan's offense.

You're right. Forgot they did the 53 man right before the injury.

Same here. Maybe see what it would cost to grab Giovani Bernard or C.J. Anderson. A vet like that could come in and run the offense like Alfred Morris did. He looked like a starting RB out there, as opposed to our younger RBs. I fear that Henderson would come in and show a lot of the same inexperience.

You send McKinnon to IR.

That's already been answered and the least important part of the post bro lol

Weren't the leading rushers last year pretty much all rookies? Didn't Morris kill it as a rookie?

I don't buy this whole inexperience argument. RB is one of the easiest transitions from college to the pros.

Who were these younger RBs? Breida barely played and the rest were camp fodder.
Was anybody else decent cut?

I agree. RB is easy, but the concern is will Shanny's playbook be limited with Breida and Morris vs Jet
Wow the docs screwed it up that bad?

Lolomckinon
He hasn't done anything as a 49er or Viking for that matter. He'll be cut next year.

Yes the leading rushers were highly coveted rookies. Everyone could easily see they were special and would come In and be effective. Henderson on the other hand was a 6th rounder . Not much was expected of him. He actually played last year and got 13 yards on 7 carries lol.

By younger RBs I meant inexperienced. Which is pretty much every rb that played for us in pre season this year. Williams, Mcnichols, Wilson was decent. They all had poor vision compared to Morris who came in off the street and looked like a pro.

Wasn't hating on Breida. Which is why I said it was unlikely Henderson would come in and out play Breida Morris or Mostert.

I wasn't saying that all Vets are better than young rookies lol. I was saying I want a proven vet over rolling the dice on an unproven youngster and hoping they are the answer.
