Redundant with breida and mostert making the 53.
Speedy & healthy recovery for the Jet! Hope he ready to roll next season!

Shanahan likes redundancy. See Pettis, Rickie James.
Worth saying that Paraag may have saved our @ss on this one again.

I think most people think McKinnon was a an overpay, but Paraag worked it so that: (1) he only has 1.5 million in dead money after this year; (2) he's making 4.5 million next year before shooting up to 7.5 APY after that.

So, McKinnon's GTD money and highest paid year were front loaded into this first year when the team could afford it, and if he can't come all the way back or ends up not being effective the team can get out of the contract with very little consequence (1.5 in dead if he doesn't make the team next year, and 4.5 in salary and then 1 in dead if he does make the team next year).

Paraag is probably the only reason we are not in salary cap hell

Yep. I'd say equal parts Paraag, and Baalke not being able to draft anyone worth a second contract to save his life.

I'm guessing at least 15 gray hairs sprouted up for Paraag when he had to do the Juice contract. Here's to hoping that was just him playing nicely with his new bosses and trying to keep his job.

Didn't hurt him to see a mass exodus of talent over 2015-17 to help his salary cap lore.
Suggestions for the third RB, all three supposedly have good hands out of the backfield:

Kerwynn Williams (not subject to waiver wire)
Khalafi Muhammad
Jonathan Williams

Maybe. I think Paraag and GM lynch give the moneys too much when they are not smart in dead cap. They mistake sign Attachu for 5 millions. They should give him 1.9 millions for one year. If Attachu does sack for 5 to 7 sacks this year then signed him 5 millions a year. And Mistake sign Jets for 7 millions. They should give him for 2.5 millions. If Jets will make 1,000 to 1,500 rush yards. They will give him for 7 millions a year.. just easy use common sense!!

Paraag's analytics department had a hand in those terrible drafts as well.
McKinnon's knee was blown 3 weeks ago. It's the same knee he hurt 3 weeks ago that the 49ers called a calf strain.
