When we did that with lattimore. trent got torn apart. if you are right and we have to cut ties with the so called jet will be interesting to see how much cover and protection lynch gets

Soon enough this jet will be called db cooper

I liked the signing but I questioned his durability. He seemed really fragile. I get that in open space he's probably a nightmare for coverage guys but when you need to get 3 or 4 yards on the ground, he looks like he can easily be knocked back. Morris has that ruggedness to get those yards on the ground but not sure how his catching ability is. When you start subbing RB's to do what they do best (Mckinnon - catch out of the backfield / Morris - run on the ground), defenses will catch on. We need a RB who can do both efficiently.

If he flops next year, then this will look terrible. Same goes with most big FA signings though. GMs have to pay to play and when they miss, they miss big, especially with the cap increasing as it has been. These contracts may not seem that impressive in a few years, but it's is inflated from what we're accostomed to. GMs can't afford to miss on early picks or FAs anymore.

There's guy like this on every team now. There aren't small contracts anymore, unless you're a safety
Draft AJ Dillon, problem solved. No more dainty backs. McKinnon can compete for passing/3rd down work.

Lynch didn't sign McKinnon coming off a major knee injury , so I am not seeing the correlation whatsoever . How is it Lynch's fault that he tore his ACL in practice?

So you do blame Lynch for McKinnon tearing his ACL. Got it

Prior to his recent injuries (calf strain, torn ACL) here, he had back and ankle injuries when he played for Minny.

I hope he doesn't become our Jimmie Ward of offense

no,, but he ignored the flags on him when they said durability is a question and went and over paid him.. its stuff like this and extending ward and ignoring the pass rush while actually making it worse is the stuff that makes me question the best gm in fb

lynch will want to sign jimmy for a min salary next year so no worries there.

How is durability a question. He missed 1 game in the last 3 seasons?

he was not worth the money he signed for, credit to him for not missing games but the red flags were there. also it is interesting how the calf thing all of a sudden became an acl thing. makes you wonder on a bunch of different levels. but i forgot. we are just fine. no big deal,

Beat me to it. It's amazing what clarity of vision hindsight can bring!
