That's what I was trying to tell people.

Thankfully, Kyle is a damn whiz and can adjust very quickly but like he said, he hasn't seen the light of day for the last 4 days (redoing the game plan and overall, offense). Tough. I feel as bad for Kyle as I do McKinnon.

Didnt need no damn sleep anyway. Hope he isnt hallucinating by game time. Really, what can he install now? Im asking. What can a coach do 1 week before opening day? Are the replacement schemes even designed? I think we might recover week 5-6 im thinking? But with cba can a team even fit in the extra work?

well of course it alters his game planning for Week 1, but honestly, most people are already expecting an L in that game anyway. I still don't think the McKinnon loss is going to the affect the season much. He's not going to be a deciding factor and the difference between 10-6 and 8-8.

Flush this thread down the toilet. Can't think about this guy til the fa. Do we sign replacement or draft. He done til 2019. Maybe 2020. Maybe he just done. Move on.

True and Kyle speaks to my biggest concern with the loss. Scheme and preparation time.

Kyle and John probably went to next years draft/ free agent board about five minutes after they saw the MRI report.
So why is everyone saying this guy is done for good? All I hear is how Dalvin Cook is going to be tearing it up this year and he tore his ACL 4 games into last season. So what's the difference? They both have similar skill sets.

B/c he tore other stuff too. The 'other stuff' wasn't clarified though. But who knows, every knee injury is somewhat unique. If we were a straight-ahead power team, I'd have less concerns. But b/c Kyle was going to rely on his ability to beat defenders to the edge, lateral speed and quickness and precise route running, it could be a major challenge to regain form in this offense.

Generally speaking, players never come back the same after injuries like this. There are always exceptions of course. But I wouldn't count on miracles when managing a roster.

Fully agree. I hope so b/c he seems like a hard working kid but damn, this injury curse strikes again.

Very true. People forget that the Saints had that game won. Next week Foles lit them up anyway,,,

I'm not so sure but the Saints have a slightly better and explosive RB corp then the 49ers do. The huge threat of Ingram and Kamara makes the defenses have to respect them, even one as good as Minnesota's. Not sure the great mind of Kyle Shanahan can scheme our tandem of Breida and Morris to make the Viking fear them running or catching.

The key to the 49ers success comes down to how well the OL can protect Jimmy G. Have to give him time to go through his progressions for as long as it takes to find the open pass catcher(s). This will be the toughest opponent the 49ers have faced in a while. Helluva test on the road.

It happens. As long as Jimmy is playing we'll have a decent shot to win.

First off allow me to welcome you to the forum. Now to your question. In the forum there is so much more knowledge than any coach and medical staff in the nfl. In the forum no niner drafted can improve upon there rookie year, no niner can improve there health from injuries, no niner coaches can coach and no niner gm's can well be a gm. In a nutshell the grass is always greener on every other nfl teams field . So welcome and enjoy your forum of missery and despair. peace and chicken grease!

Actually while I'm far from a downer on here the truth in this case isn't to good .....acl tears usually affect these kind of skill sets a lot more then power backs
