There should be no reason why Coleman isnt going to be the starting rb. He is much better than mckinnon, Can run, pass, and pass block. McKinnon is injury prone coming off an acl injury and is getting older and cant even run the ball well. He is one dimensional. Defenses will know he wont run so they can rush the qb and drop into coverage. He has alot of wear and tear. It should be Coleman and Brieda as the two main rbs and mckinnon as the pass catching back.

Don't even know where to begin with this. I'll begin with I disagree with everything you said about Jerrick but agree that Coleman should be the starter

Okay. Up to this point they both haven't been lead every down backs, both more 3rd down backs, so I don't think Coleman has really proven to be "much" better than McKinnon. Jerrick is also better in pass protection and can catch the ball equally well as Coleman. Coleman has the edge as a runner thus far. McKinnon is a year older and in prime RB years, age is irrelevant. Wear and tear? Been a backup his entire NFL career. Injury prone means he's been injured multiple times. Aside from his ACL last season, tell me the amount of games he's missed due to injuries. Long story short, don't have to hate on a guy to promote another, especially if they are on the same team you root for

He's had 3 seasons cut short because of knee and back injuries. How is that not concerning ?? Also because McKinnon even in a lead role had less yards then coleman in a timeshare. I'm not tearing McKinnon down , he's a good player but just not better than Coleman. If you look at the signing McKinnon is the exact same player as Coleman but Shanahan still signed Coleman. Cant tell me that 49ers and Coleman aren't made for each other. Ironically he is given a chance to start even though he was just brought here allegedly to be the 3rd down back.

Sorry meant 2 seasons cut short by injuries but he started 2014 ,and wound up the starter in 2016. Couldn't get the job done so they drafted cook.

Lol np. I get confused all the time. I think we can agree it was more of him and Asiata sharing time. But I also agree with you he didn't seize the role . We shall see how he does this year ..hopefully healthy
