that is what i have always been wondering.. we have been told all of the awesome things he can do and will do..how do we know that. sounds like the team needs to get a scrub to help us get through pre season in this area

He hasn't done anything for us because the guy had knee surgery. Players, including RBs, often come back from this and do well. I suspect he could be in there, but the staff have been playing it cautious.

Wait I thought that it wasn't a concern that he was on pup for a week ?? This must mean that he is still having pain in that knee which is where I get the arthritis from. Flare ups that keep you out 2 weeks is concerning.

I guess it depends on what "ready" means. If he could play ( meaning he would if this was the regular season), I think they let it ride and give him plenty of time to heal while we are in the preseason. Similar to Richberg.

If "ready" means he's a no go, then I would think we are closer to putting him on IR. I don't think that the latter is the case, however. But like we've been saying all summer with regard to many things, "time will tell."

That's why you have extra backs so you are not forced to play someone before they are ready.

Many teams around the league will not be using starters during preseason, or using them very sparingly. It isn't like they need to "show" anything. Guys like Jet just need a few carries to shake off the rust and they are ready to go.

Not worried.
