Jerick McKinnon, who tore his ACL on Sept. 1, has been taken off of PUP. He's expected to be slowly eased into practices and might only take part in walk-throughs early on. #49ers

Especially with the depth we have, people need to chill. It would be stupid to suffer the cap penalties and lose a quality skill player.
Attrition throughout camp and pre season at any of the positions mean depth is a good thing. Breida and Mostert were both injured last year too. Next man up only works when you have depth.

I think a lot of people are just bitter because we paid him all that money and have gotten nothing out of him. Many, myself included, thought it was ridiculous to throw the amount of money at him we did, mostly because he has never been a featured back...and we paid him like one.
I am on the opposite side of the cut him camp though. We already absorbed the biggest salary year with him, so it makes no sense to cut him now. We need to try to get something out of him.

do you possibly think the team will sign a scrub just for pre season.. being careful with this guy of course, we got two other guys coming off injuries. do not want to get coleman beat up.. the kid from last year who was decent... wilson? is also hurt.

Doesn't everyone get overpaid in FA except Tevin Coleman??? Lol. Or are people upset because they thought someone else should have been overpaid??? Who cares. He's back so I just want him to contribute positively and with the other two backs hopefully the lesser workload will keep all 3 fresh and healthy. Would love to see all 3 on the field at the same time. Let's get it! Jet, Coleman, Pettis, Goodwin and Kittle at the same time. That could be silly explosive.

Haha pretty much I mean he for sure did it on purpose
By the hate logic, Jimmy G should be the most hated. Newly 120mil contact. Blew out his own knee 3 games later.
That's one way of looking at it.
I'm thinking he'll be like Joe William's if he's dinged a lot this year and cant contribute much. I like Mostert and Breida. And I can see Shanalynch looking for Saquan Barkley 2.0 in next years draft if Jet cant really contribute this year. I'm really looking forward to seeing Tevan in this offense, and see how he works with this OLine.
If you are looking for draft Saquan Barkley 2.0 in next year but I wanted to draft to Miles Sanders. . The Eagles draft to Miles Sanders for 2nd round. Oh well.

Here is the thing though...almost all that money was last year. It's water under the bridge. Now he is a moderately priced vet who is part of a potentially really good RB committee that we can walk away from year to year at zero additional cost.

I thought he died? Lol.
Glad to have him back. Kyle should have no problems scheming these guys to generate some points. I hope the o-line holds up.
