I'm in the other boat, I'm skeptical of Mostert being anything more than a great STer (which is totally fine).
I Think coleman will be everything that many thought the so called jet would be for our team. there is a very good reason why kyle went and got him

It's been almost a full 12 months and still complications. Terrible sign.

We may want to pick up a veteran cut RB.

Nah Mostert is healthy now as well - Breida, Coleman and Mostert is a good backfield and frees up a roster spot if McKinnon isn't ready.

He's coming back from a nasty arm injury also and is mainly a gunner. Brieda, Coleman and a Veteran Cut is what I would recommend.

Mostert is my favorite to back up Breida. I am still a bit skeptical of Colman, but I've seen what Raheem and his *speed* can do in Kyles offense and I'm stoked to see Raheem play in pre-season. As for McKinnon - the fact that his knee is acting up is really disappointing. I just don't see him being 100% ever if he's still having problems a year later. Hope I'm wrong though. But my gut tells me most likely we're going to see a draft pick for a RB next year in the 3rd through 6th rounds, just like we got two WR picks this year in Hurd and Deebo once they let Garcon go.

I didn't know much about Coleman, since I don't have the time to watch other teams. What I learned was pretty good. He is fast. 4.4 in the 40. He's been productive and reasonably healthy his last couple of years in the NFL, as far as I've read so far. I"m looking forward to seeing him play, but I've already seen how impressive Raheem can be in the Kyle offense. If McKInnon can't do it, at least we have both Colman and Mostert. Lots more depth than last year, when we basically had only - Morris and Breida.
Talk about Armed Robbery, 18 million guaranteed. Hasn't played a single down.... Frustrating

Although I would like him back ASAP, tend to agree with you. He should be given ample time to recover. I believe the dude is an offensive force, and he still may show us that he is. But if we rush him, he may never be right .

Nahh not really, before the injury did anything really stand out to you?? Coleman and Brieda are just as good if not better catching the ball and I shouldn't even have to talk about running the ball. He's a good player but he will not change an offense or make it dynamic

Gotta disagree about the pass catching. He is infinitely better than Breida catching out of the backfield. Coleman is close, but McKinnon is better. His route running as a RB is elite (Coleman is pretty darn good too) . He's also a better lass protector than both. Both are better runners though

Spot on. McKinnon does the other things well, but Breida is the running back (1st or 2nd down guy).

I think Kyle wants receiving abilities from the RB position on every down, not just third down. So I disagree that Brieda is necessary the ideal back on 1st and 2nd downs.
We got 3 guys who can carry the load and give us time (4 games + the bye) for Jet to be ready.

The pecking order is correct (Coleman, Breida, Mostert, Jet)
NO WILSON???

If Coleman and Brieda are rolling I could see them taking on brunt of the rb duties while Jerick is the pass catching specialist only. Dont want him to f**k up the chemistry between the two of them.
