No money saved this year. Makes no sense.

Ya just IR designate for return and see if it can heal by then. If not, then cut. Don't need to take a roster spot after that.

Wow, another Lynch special.

I still don't know how he's managed to keep his job.

Huh?

He was healthy when they signed him. He got hurt Sept. 1 2018. Can't blame that on Lynch. It seems some people just want to blame the GM, owner or coach every time a player can't stay healthy or doesn't end up being an all pro. It's football and sometimes it's just fate.

Between Soloman Thomas and McKinnon, this fanbase has a really hard time accepting that these players just aren't very valuable when it comes to production on gameday.

It's hard to say it was a horrible signing when the guy wasn't injured because he just wasn't able to be a bell cow back and got hurt. The guy tore his ACL in walkthroughs, against air. There is no way to predict that will happen. None. To anyone. Ever.

That's just piling on because we're mad over all the guys who've gotten hurt. But this ain't on Lynch and Shanahan.

that is the new norm but only if they wear a niner uniform

Kwon doing just fine

i know, just joking. sort of. lol
Dude is trying to get back on the field from an injury that's probably the hardest for a running back to come back from. Who cares if front office spends money on him, it's not your money and it's not like we are missing on other players because we're letting him rehab.

Niner talk gonna niner talk tho.

no one blames lynch for him getting hurt.. with jet and smith. its always been about how much we paid in the first place. i know some think lynch is lilly white but his decisions like jet and smith in regards to money for players who were not worth it not to mention keeping crap like aa and ward are legit b***hes in my opinion.

Typical of the kind of drama that goes on in this thread. Like Malcolm Smith this has been a case of bad luck more than anything else. If McKinnon hadn't gotten hurt and had produced 1500 yards from scrimmage last year and 9 TD's would that have still qualified it as being one of the worst signings in franchise history. The knee jerk reactions and hyperbole that this thread elicits is really something. If Lynch signed a player and on his way to the first team practice a meteor fell out of the sky and landed on the player's SUV there would be a chorus of people in here going on about how bad Lynch is at his job.
Johnny, we hardly knew ya

Well if Lynch wasn't always signing meteor-prone players....

That's just the reality with ACL surgery. Some guys heal fast, some don't. Some recover completely, some never do.
