when he got atleast 10 carries a game he avg 84 yards from scrimmage a game...that's not too shabby. I'd think that will improve in a kyle shanahan offense with JImmy G at the helm.

He's a mismatch guy...think Alvin Kamara

Exactly. When I watched a couple of MIN games closely, I was always thinking "why aren't they using more of that McKinnon kid". Literally, I was

He's actually a very good and willing blocker. As a 3rd down back he's terrific but I don't see him as a feature back which is what he is being paid as.
KS must see something you aren't because he's paying him like a Feature back. This is a Shanahan mind you.

McKinnon is a very good third-down, pass-catching and change of pace back. What he is not is a guy who can run inside and break tackles. In other words, he's not a feature back who can handle 300 carries in a season. I hope for the sake of McKinnon and the 49ers that the latter has figured that out.

4th highest paid back in football, a guy who can't handle a full workload.

FWIW only 1 RB had 300 carries last season.

I don't think so. They can always find a way to redshirt a guy like Williams again. Same for McNichols.
All these guys saying "I've watched him on the Vikings and he is terrible." Sorry, but I trust Kyle Shanahan to know just a little more than you do.

This signing doesn't make sense to me. Does he have some secret knowledge on McKinnon? That type of RB could easily be had in the draft or possibly from TC roster cuts.

Roster cuts?

Lol. No

Joecool. Thank you for believe in me what I am saying it. We need looking for Stud Rush then sign LeGarrette Blount is cheap $$ than McKinnon.

They've got pretty much no one who can run inside or is good at picking up yards after contact at this point so I'd think its a an absolute necessity to draft someone who can handle inside zone, short yardage....etc.

I don't want to see a single one of these guys in a goalline situation.

Dudes in this thread seriously need to stop sweating this contract. We have zero details right now.

And... when has Paarag ever not protected the team??
It's funny, over in R/NFL you have Viking fans telling us we got a good player. We got fans of other teams talking about how he's gonna flourish in Kyle's system. Then you come to the webzone and people are having a damn meltdown .

Im not worried about the contract. How do yall not know by now to wait until the actual details of it come out before judging it?
He's a perfect fit but I want to see the contract details. I would have gone to about 6 on him but we do have a lot of room....if it's frontloaded then none of us will be complaining because it is unlikely that we use up all of our cap room this year.
