People said the same thing about Joe Williams. The reality is that these guys aren't infallible. I trust McKinnon to be a terrific third down back, but he's not a feature back by any means.

I don't want to see a single one of these guys in a goalline situation.

That's too much money for this guy. What is this? There is no production level to say he is worth that much money. He doesn't have enough numbers to be worth that contract. I don't get this one. He's a fast RB. But the production just is not there.

Don't worry we can still draft your boy Penny

McKinnon and Penny with different skill sets and we need a bigger back still. Penny, Freeman, Chubb...and the only one I want is Penny.

Why.... pay.... so..... much....?

Trust in Paraag, once the real numbers come out I am sure he has to be an elite RB to reach 7.5

Sounds like 4 other teams were bidding hard too...basically Juice 2.0 scenario.

I wonder if the Rams were one of those teams.
I have been all about trusting Shanahan for who fits his scheme and how he will use them. But I do admit to being a little shocked that walk and get a 15 mil contract and then we turn around and hand this guy 30 mil after all the discussion about not needing to spend too much on a RB in this system. Seems strange to me.

They want the team to spend less.

Make up your mind.

Exactly. It's not my money, I couldn't care less tbh.

It's funny, over in R/NFL you have Viking fans telling us we got a good player. We got fans of other teams talking about how he's gonna flourish in Kyle's system. Then you come to the webzone and people are having a damn meltdown .

Im not worried about the contract. How do yall not know by now to wait until the actual details of it come out before judging it?

It wouldn't be the Webzone if fans weren't complaining about something.

He's a perfect fit but I want to see the contract details. I would have gone to about 6 on him but we do have a lot of room....if it's frontloaded then none of us will be complaining because it is unlikely that we use up all of our cap room this year.

I think it would be better for both parties if it is backloaded so he will be making money in his prime years. If it is front loaded, he will be in his prime and if he has success, will want to restructure because he will be an underpaid back.

On the Vikings, he was sir dance a lot

Not a fan of signing unless he learns to follow his blocks and stop running horizontal

ZBS is all about running horizontal.

Except you still need to know how to read blocks, which is Mackinnons biggest weakness

How do you know, did he play the ZBS in his previous team?

And... when has Paarag ever not protected the team??

This......

This signing doesn't make sense to me. Does he have some secret knowledge on McKinnon? That type of RB could easily be had in the draft or possibly from TC roster cuts.

Roster cuts?

Lol. No

150 attempts for 570 yards at 3.8 per carry and he is not a good pass protector and is primarily a 3rd down back. Easily can get a RB like that from roster cuts, undrafted free agent or anything after the 4th round.

Joecool. Thank you for believe in me what I am saying it. We need looking for Stud Rush then sign LeGarrette Blount is cheap $$ than McKinnon.

Last time we overpaid for a Back...maybe Lynch will call Jet Mickinnon OW2.

I love you man! Kissfist!

FWIW, McKinnon averaged more yards after contact than Hyde and forced more miss tackles per rush and reception.

We're not paying $7.5M a year for a secondary back lol. They're going to at least try to see what he can do as the #1.
