You dont think bringing up YPC is important with another team, but nfl.com ranked that other team as the 6th best OL in his last year there.
I am not a huge Coleman fan. If we can get someone better and/or someone cheaper, that would be fine by me. But Jerrick is not the replacement I want for Coleman. At least Coleman is fairly durable.
IF we choose to use Jerrick as Coleman's replacement, we really need to bring in 2 RBs to act as that replacement. Not sure how that makes sense to do.
We restructure it to whatever the f**k we want. You think any team is gonna sign him next yr? Give him an incentive deal where he can EARN that cash back with playing time and stats. Draft a kid late and let's everyone battle it out. If Jet loses out in training camp fine they restructured his deal with basically noting GTD. It cost LESS then if they just cut him.

Dude missed like a month with an ankle injury. He dislocated his shoulder in the playoffs as well. If not for the extra time because of the SB he wouldn't have played.
Baseless my butt. He had like 130 carries this yr. he's not worth his cap hit this yr pain and simple.
Yes, completely baseless label.
You cannot argue this opinion and then in the same breath advocate keeping McKinnon. Are you seriously not seeing how hypocritical that is? He isnt worth his cap hit with 130 carries, yet somehow McKinnon is worth ANYTHING with his ZERO carries? Cmon NY. You have always been known as a logical poster. You are making no sense whatsoever with this debate.
Just say you dont like Coleman.

I'd cut them both, move forward with Mostert and Wilson, and try to draft Darrynton Evans. Wait until June or even August cuts and see who is available in FA.
You save $10 million this way and I don't think you give up that much. McKinnon has never played for us. Coleman is serviceable but I think Kyle can get serviceable performance from any number of vet RBs.

I think that title goes to malcom smith. He at least played. Let's see what McK does next season before we crown him the worst.

Dude he missed a month that's not baseless lol. You're acting like he's cal Ripken Jr or some s**t.
Coleman is an avg RB who was out played by a UDFA. He's not worth his cap hit especially when we're trying to sign guys that have a LT future here.
What you keep missing is that restructuring jet can save them like $7 million in cap space vs $4M in cutting him. Throw in cutting Coleman that's like another $5M.
Would you rather have sanders and jet or just Coleman? Because it might come down to that.

Cut Coleman and get rid of McKinnon as well. Don't need them.

Idk, we've kept him this long for a reason, if he's willing to restructure, I want to see what Kyle has in store for him

All this talk about getting rid of guys on every thread. I know we're gonna keep 4, not 5 most likely this year but when have you seen the Niners come into the regular season with no injuries in camp at the RB position?
It hasn't happened in the 3 years Shanny has been here which is why I wanna see us retain ALL FIVE and see how it shakes loose.
Wilson is basically free to bring back and McKinnon will restructure that deal drastically. Brieda fell out of favor end of the year but has been tremendous overall for us. Shanny loves Coleman who isn't nearly as bad as we make him out to be and Mostert is a star. I'd hedge my bets one gets hurt before the year if I'm the Niners, if not, good problem to have & maybe one can be dealt at that time for a 2021 pick. Let's keep as much talent and players as possible.

Thing is SF doesn't have $60M in cap space anymore. They have to start making decisions because we have good core players that need to be resigned. They have holes elsewhere that need to be upgraded.
RB is one of the most replaceable positions and we've seen it.
