That doesn't make sense. Once he's cut that DM hit is happening. They will restructure his deal

Jet turning into biplane after surgery. Hope it works out but doubt it will.

Coleman caught 20 balls this yr for 180 yards. wow. How will we ever replace that? The whole he's an amazing route-runner/pass catcher is overblown IMO. Hell Jeff wilson can take the roll over just fine if need be.

He's an above avg pass-blocker sure...Jet was regarded as one of the best pass-blockers in football. Coleman has proven he's an avg RB. I understand you love him but he's on a team-option deal. Dude has zero guaranteed cash. This team has BY FAR more important players and positions that they can use that cash for.

No tape on Mostert? That's your excuse for Mostert playing well? What "tape" do coaches need to "figure out" a RB? It's all about vision/balance and speed to be successful in this scheme. All of which he has. Blocking is more important than "having tape on a RB" poor example there IMO.

I don't even know what you're getting at with that last paragraph. Coleman "started" pretty much every game he was in (when healthy). It's not even about who starts, but who get's the most touches....There isn't really a role with any of our RBs. They all basically do the same thing IMO.

Look at don't hate Coleman and I know you will defend him to the death lol BUT SF needs cap space and have proven then can get great production out of cheap RBs. it's the truth.

Ok first , it happened to Breida. Teams started getting tape on him and he got shut down. Teams figured out his weaknesses. Now we will see if Mostert can still produce with tape. All rbs go through this , its why a lot of 2nd year rbs usually get hesitant vibes from others besides the obvious ones. Can he do this over a full season and can he be the lead guy. That will be the question.

Youre ok with Mckinnon who has definitely lost explosiveness to be reliable in pass blocking ?? Having two knee injuries is like a death sentence for rbs. They dont usually get signed again after that. Career is usually over

I'm ok with losing Sanders since I suspect we will draft a WR since the class is so deep and Hurd is also coming back.

i would rather dump ward. use a top pick on a safety and sign sanders. we saw what we had with the wide outs before sanders

not against this idea but the depth of the wr class is why i think Sanders is more expendable.

Shut down? He avg 5.1 YPC. Stop. His issue is injuries.

You actually have no idea if he lost explosiveness until you actually see him play. Again for the 100th time restructuring allows SF to save the MOST money in this situation AND gives them a chance to see a healthy JM. If he's done his cut and they saved the most money possible.

Coleman isn't worth $5M just isn't not when that cash been used to pay Sanders/AA. I'll take Darrynton Evans (who we met with) in the 5th rd and roll with the rest of our cheap young RBs. You know a position that's stupid replaceable

So I understand. If they restructure JM, and then cut him they don't take the DM hit?

Right!!! It didn't make sense to me when Lynch said they were done with restructures after Kwon Alexander and Weston Richburg. There's still money to be retrieved with McKinnon and possibly Jimmy G..

it will be much much less and there will be no DM hit next yr as well. There's no reason not to do it and it sounds like JM is on board as well.

I'm sure once the doctors give him another check they will fix that contract.
He needs to play on the veteran minimum. He needs to clear at least 6 million of cap space.

He needs to give that money back
2 years x 0 production = baalke
I just can't see JL/KS bringing him back at the same contract.

If he hadn't been injured he'd have been an absolute star in KS offense.

Yeah that's the bummer it would have been a whole other dimension and perfect for Jimmy
