Waste of money and waste of a roster spot.

It literally saved millions.

How much?

Millions. Plural. Perhaps upwards of $6M. That's a full Jimmie Ward with room to spare.

Enough to cream some pants

If he ends up on IR again, I will literally go down to 49ers Headquarters and punch Paarage in the face.

They were going to be hit with $4.5m regardless. Cutting him would make this team, and it's salary cap, worse. There is literally nothing bad about this deal.
@NYniner85, guess you're right smh

Dude they literally dropped his salary to $970K (vs $8.9M) they would have had $4.5M DM money hit if they just cut him. Throw in no dead money in 2021.

If he gets hurt or cut after now it doesn't affect anything. Like okd said there's literally nothing bad with this deal.

This is literally a great restructure with potential to be a home run if he can get healthy and be a chess piece for the passing game. He's definitely a great pass catching back that can run some great routes

By restructure, you mean, "pay cut."

It just made sense

There's literally no reason to not do this.

The best thing about this restructure, is that this will be his last year.

He most likely will not make the final 53

And watch him ball out lol.

And if he balls out in 2020 the market will still be depressed for him because of his lost 2018-2019 seasons, so they could more than likely bring him back for a reasonable contract in 2021 if both sides wanted to stay together.

This is a win across the board - one that many of us predicted would be the case.
