Im not propping him up lol i just said no rb has brought what coleman brought. Did he get alot of yards ?? No but he still ran tough and hard and most of the time into the teeth of the defense. You cant replace that element, it still forces the defense to change what they are doing. He has always been a physical guy even going back to Indiana. Wilson isnt that kind of back as we have seen. Need a grinder, which is why Shanahan always leans on him
JET in my opinion has done pretty well in what he was brought in to do: catch the ball out of the backfield and run on occasion. A versatile 3rd down back. That leaping catch he made against the Gmen was highlight reel. His pass blocking looks pretty good He's not a #1 RB and the speed burst to Mostert or the power push compared to Coleman isn't there.
I think his YPC is really due to who's playing QB. The opposing DCs do not respect our backup QBs. When you see the entire defense on the tv screen it's pretty easy to guess he's not hitting more than 3yards. When JImmy G comes back and we get a regular defense setup, in would think JETs ypc will improve. But I hope we get Mostert and Coleman to really open things up.
