WOW! I cannot believe Jet's response. People like me were calling for Shanny & Co. to get rid of him 2 seasons ago. But they kept him around wasting a roster spot, giving him every opportunity to show why the team invested what was invested in him. On top of that, in stead of just cutting his a$$ (like people like me wanted) his contract was restructured - yes, paying him less due to his lack of on-field availability - to give him even more of an opportunity to shine. Yet he couldn't stay healthy (not blaming him for that) and couldn't
EARN more time when he was given time (
AM blaming him for
).
Here's what I said about him in 53 roster prediction:
RB – 4
T. Coleman*
R. Mostert
J. McKinnon
J. Hasty
Personally, I'm a bit ambivalent about McKinnon. I know, he's a guy that Shanny targeted early, and Lynch gave him a handsome contract, now restructured. But I must say, now that he's (according to reports) healthy, if he misses any games for so much as a hangnail I'm gonna be out on him. I know he's supremely talented but what good is having supreme talent on the roster if the team can never realize or benefit from that talent? Supreme talent that can never see the field is no better than a PS player, in fact they're worse. If he's injured again I'm gonna be among those who beg for an injury settlement.

This guy was largely healthy and but still couldn't get more time than Mostert, or even Coleman. Now, he has the temerity to say "f--k no" when asked if he'll return? Not that we
need him, because clearly we DON'T, but given his history with this team he should be thankful that he hasn't been released at this point, because clearly he don't deserve the roster spot he's now occupying.
I hope he isn't resigned.
