Meh. At first glance it seems like a whole lot of money for a guy who is a tremendous athlete and very good special teams performer but lacks the vision and decisiveness of top RBs although he is now being paid like one.

You will be able to find guys like this in the draft for far less money, especially in a year where the draft is absolutely stacked with RBs.

Out of all the moves ShanaLynch have made, this one makes the least amount of sense to me. That much money for a guy who realistically is a #2 RB?

Yeah. I had to do a double take too when I saw this deal and I did the same last year with Juice but imagine the mismatches that we will have with Garcon running crossers, Goodwin taking the top off, Taylor catching everything in sight, Kittle down the seams and then McKinnon and Juice in the backfield motioning out.

Good luck defenses.

I like the fact that Kyle can go from 21 personnel to 11 personnel just by changing the formation. Do defenses play base or nickel or dime?

Man o Man 2018 is going to be *fun* to watch offensively.

Lol no.

Breida, McKinnon and Williams are all basically the same guy.

This move will make a lot more sense to me if they have decided to move on from Williams and will show him off in the offseason and throw him out there as trade bait after drafting a RB more capable of running between the tackles.

Remember, our own scouts considered him undraftable. It was KS pick 100%

He will look like Freeman now that he has a legit QB under center.

RBs are a dime a dozen. Making a glorified 3rd down back the 4th highest paid RB in the league is not a smart investment.

I like the guy, like him as a player. But that is a huge overpayment.

How about you wait until th contract comes out before proclaiming everything? Also we underpaid for CB with Sherman (so put money towards the jet) and have who else at RB? None of those guys are making money right now. Team up McKinnon with a rookie RB (who's not making anything) and your cash overall for the position isn't crazy at all.

Honestly who gives a s**t if we pay a RB $7 million a yr? They have $178 million to work with...you got guys like Ryan grant making the same amount...of freaking FA everyone gets overpaid.

McKinnon's pass blocking stands out, look at how he compares to Freeman. He's not going to be a power runner, but he's going to be a great third round back -- and that's not to say he won't be on the field on first and second down. If you're looking at all three phases -- rush, receiving, pass blocking as a whole, only Bell, Kamara, Lewis and arguably McCoy are more complete players.

The WZ is seething right now

That's FA man
Always liked McKinnon. Every time in Madden franchise mode I would go after him, albeit for a lot less haha. Kyle got his guy and when he tears it up for us people won't have any issues with the contract. All that said, I definitely don't think this precludes us from drafting a runningback.

Really good speed and hands but questionable vision and pass protection. I don't like what they paid for him. Would have much rather drafted a RB in the 2nd or 3rd rd....

His vision is outstanding and he had a high pass protection grade. What are you talking about?

people are just making s**t up now.

I know you don't like this signing and I know we don't know the contract details, but you don't give $7.5M to a RB and ask him to be the #2 guy.

And a better play-caller and offensive system.
