We absolutey have.

Resigned Garappolo and Goodwin as well as key reserves in Kilgore, Marsh and Gilliam and signed the best corner in the league as well as the best pass blocking center and a stud RB.

Is this John Lynch??

I really think maybe some people on this forum get paid just to drink the coolade and applaud whatever we do

I remember most on this forum swore by baalke

His vision is outstanding and he had a high pass protection grade. What are you talking about?

people are just making s**t up now.

I question the vision but he's not a bad pass-blocker
Much like NE I don't think our rb's are going to matter much anymore. He's great for what we're going to do and that's pass the ball.

A lot of people here who know their stuff and have been playing football in college or earlier have been saying that since Kyle came on board. *I* could see it and I'm not anywhere near some of these folks in terms of expertise. Now to compliment Breida/McKinnon/Joe Williams etc.. we need that thunder than can operate in the zone run. Preferably a big back that has outside speed to scare defenses. Not a Saquan (he'll be gone), but maybe somebody *like* him somewhere in the 3rd through 5th rounds?

I don't know if you need a "thunder" option at RB when you have a FB like Juszcek. Thunder is only gonna get 2-3 carries a game, so let Juice fill that role.

For the love of god people stop looking at it as him being JUST a RB. he's a OW ( a real one) he's not gonna be a 1K RB he's gonna be a 1,200 line of scrimmage guy which is huge in today's game.
team him up with a Royce Freeman and we're gonna be very dangerous.

Who the hell is Royce Freeman?

Pass on Freeman:

Doesn't always play to his size. Too willing to eat contact rather than dole it out. Can be slowed by arm tackles. Hip tightness prevents him from consistently slipping leg tackles on perimeter runs. Jump cuts gain limited ground. Appears to anticipate contact at times when attacking run creases. Below average elusiveness once defenders close him out in the open field. Tires are missing some tread. Has had over 1000 touches during his career. Has become more of a grinder than a slasher as his career has moved forward. Lacks an explosive "get-away" gear to pull away from tacklers.

Oh thanks for copying and pasting his weakness from his draft profile lol.

HaHa.

Take the NYniner challenge and watch some film.
I don't know another poster here - other than maybe MadDog - that watches more Philm than NY85.

False. when leading, Thunder comes in to close out games in the 4th qtr

Definitely a better fit for the scheme than Hyde. Money to ne is whatever - I'm not paying him.

No but at some point if we are a great team we will be at cap limit, where cost effectiveness is a huge factor. Overspending leads to letting a great young player walking, or depletes depth

McKinnon for $4 million per year would be great

$5 million would be decent

Above 5 is overpaying

Unless all of the money is fully guaranteed I dont see it as a problem. We arent a "great: team yet and we arent going to spend all of the cap money this year. If he doesnt play up to his contract level he can be released. I also dont see a great young player walking because of it.

One thing about free agency. Rarely will a team get a potential impact player at a great price. Overpays are the norm.

While McKinnon was probably overpaid the Niners had no choice if he was the guy they identified and wanted for their scheme. Other teams were in the mix and all it takes is 2 teams to drive the price way up. With the cap space the Niners can afford it and if he can be an explosive 3rd down back then he will be worth it.

I do think the Niners need to draft a back who can give them more power in the 3rd or 4th round to compliment McKinnon and Breida/Williams. Now we pretty much know a RB, OG, and CB is likely off the plate in the first round and that Edge and LB will probably be where the team goes with the 9th pick.

The bold is the key. He measures about the same as Freeman but was not used quite that way in Minnesota. I watched 5 or 6 Vikings games this past season and you could see the explosiveness and ability to read and make cuts even though that offense was not quite the same as Kyle's.

McKinnon will be in the perfect set-up for him and thus be worth more money here than he would have been in some other offense that was not as tailored to him as Kyle's.

What a terrible signing.

Please example how SF has had a poor off season? They extended a couple players that helped this team (to team-friendly contracts) they gave jimmy G a big contract that actually gives the team a ton of flexibility down the road, the got Sherman for pennies compared to the rest of these FA CB, they signed the best center in FA, and now have a great pass-catching COP back that can play all over the field.

No kool-aid to be had...those are facts
