yes. the guy who had the mystery ankle injury. i think the team needs to proceed that he will not be on the team. lynch has alot of time to spin that mistake once they quietly cut him.lol

cc why do you think they IR'ed him?

We should rely on Joe Williams as much as we rely on Joshua Garnett. You don't!

...but if they come in hungry and earn it.

i have no clue.. i just think it was weird, the only thing you would get anyone to say is . oh he has an ankle issue and then he quietly was hidden away. very similar to what my parents did to me when i was six years old

I concur

They've got pretty much no one who can run inside or is good at picking up yards after contact at this point so I'd think its a an absolute necessity to draft someone who can handle inside zone, short yardage....etc.

I don't want to see a single one of these guys in a goalline situation.

FWIW, McKinnon averaged more yards after contact than Hyde and forced more miss tackles per rush and reception.

McKinnon is a top notch 3rd down back. What happens in 3rd and short and on the goalline? The Patriots definitely missed Blount this year and New England was able to lockdown that vaunted Falcons run game in the 2nd half of the SB to the point where Shanahan became hesitant in running it when he really should have.

Historically the main weakness of the Shanahan ZBS is short yardage and goalline situations where the field shrinks. Right now they don't have a sine back I feel confident in being able to power tnrough and get those tough yards inside.

You're absolutely correct. The sad part is imo Guice would be a perfect every down back for us (id do stress IMO lol), but because of Foster they may be feeling the pressure to go defense no matter what now. Then we wouldnt have to sign a big RB FA etc.

KS loves the potential, but dude was a long shot for the roster

Ankle was convenient way to stash, when it's clear he would have been healthy during the season

He can't pass block or stop fumbling.

Is that true?

Trenton Brown single handily handles this. LOL.

TBF, short yardage esp. on 4th downs and goal line have been an issue for years here.

i thought they were stashing him there so no one else could take him but idk
I think some of you need to go down to team HQ and submit your resumes, or maybe just get over yourselves...

Kyle will throw the ball.

Worked well for him in the Superbowl.

It sure was good enough to get him there.

And how did not running the football in the 4th quarter work out for him?

Lets worry about getting to the Superbowl before we expect him to repeat his mistakes....

So in this scenario, does his pro bowl center sustain an injury, does 8 of his 11 or so runs fail to get back to the LOS and is his defense s**tting up yards at almost a 600 yard pace? Oh and does his pro bowl Qb having an all time season take a ridiculously bad sack? All of these factors had a had in the playcalling down the stretch in that SB.

i got fooled last year when he said ward will be a foundation for our secondary. foster will be the foundation for our defense and the feel good story of joe williams will motivate him to be a good running back for us. of course jh said crabtree has the best hands in the nfl but thats beside the point. i will go by what i see and not what the powers to be say. case in point kilgore, again i digress
