LOL if true. Well, he did say " touch."

Is that true?

Yes, the statistic didn't pass the smell test (I knew McKinnon averaged like 3.8 YPR last season) so I did some quick research:

Rushing:
150 carries, 570 yards (3.8 YPA)

Receiving:
51 receptions, 421 yards (8.3 YPA)

Kick returns:
12 returns, 312 yards (12.0 Y/R)

Rushing + receiving:
201 touches, 991 yards (4.9 yards/touch)

Rushing + receiving + kick returns:
213 touches, 1303 yards (6.12 yards/touch)

So in this scenario, does his pro bowl center sustain an injury, does 8 of his 11 or so runs fail to get back to the LOS and is his defense s**tting up yards at almost a 600 yard pace? Oh and does his pro bowl Qb having an all time season take a ridiculously bad sack? All of these factors had a had in the playcalling down the stretch in that SB.

I think a major issue is that New England took away the outside zone and forced them inside. What I'd like to see is a more well rounded RB that you can trust to take it inside and pick up those tough yards.

Right now you have three of the exact same back types. Its going to be disappointing if that isn't addressed via the draft because at some point in time I can see it coming back to bite this team.

i like the signing but i also think its ok for people to question it without having to be called out for it
I don't hate this at all. I suspect all the comparisons with Hyde will continue all the way into the season but regardless of whether we got Jet, Dion, or a rookie in the draft, whoever, it's time to let this Hyde stuff go because it's clear now that they never intended to bring him back. He just isn't an ideal natural fit in an OZ scheme, Kyle's bread and butter, and he's not dynamic in the passing game. Hyde was never going to be the guy for Kyle's system so wish him luck in Cleveland (I think he'll do well in Hue's offense which is better suited for his skill set and talents) and move on.

As for McKinnon, it's easy to see why he does fit Kyle's vision. Tons of speed, plus pass catching ability and pass blocking. I'm not sold on him as a #1 though which makes the price steep but if he can be our Tevin Coleman or Kamara lite, it could be worth it. I just hope this signing doesn't steer us from finding our Freeman or Ingram to pair with him in the draft which is what I'm most worried about tbh. Rashaad Penny with one of our 3rds pls.

The zone is an amazing community and family.

It's also the greatest hidden file of football leadership created by the oracle and only NEO can unlock us.

I like this signing, but this is an incredibly idiotic argument. There are all kinds of idiots that fall into jobs that they don't deserve. A chimp throwing darts at a wall covered with prospects' names could have a done a better job drafting than Trent Baalke.

He is our Freeman.

We still need a power back and anyone saying Williams will take over that role did not see him play in the preseason, hope he's takes the reigns but I figure we may draft a rb as well

We should rely on Joe Williams as much as we rely on Joshua Garnett. You don't!

...but if they come in hungry and earn it.
i got fooled last year when he said ward will be a foundation for our secondary. foster will be the foundation for our defense and the feel good story of joe williams will motivate him to be a good running back for us. of course jh said crabtree has the best hands in the nfl but thats beside the point. i will go by what i see and not what the powers to be say. case in point kilgore, again i digress

"Never mention Pittsburg!"

It was rediculous to think Gore would ever come back.

I think McKinnon will be a beast on this team.
