STOP thinking that it's only gonna be his running that they're paying for...think about what NO does with Kamara. McKinnon will be a 1,200 yard from scrimmage guy.

I can see about 120 carries and 80+ targets a yr.

STOP using your brain, you're scaring the sheep.

Since he's been drafted he's never been given the opportunity to be a full time starter. This is a deal based on talent and potential.

nah dude he basically got a one yr deal and it $11.7 guaranteed...it's enough money but it's not something that will hurt the team past this yr

A one year deal at that.

You really think he is only going to be a third down back in Shanny's offense. Lol the reaction today.

for 20+ mil in his first two years, he better be playing every f**king down. However, he wont be. He will be a third down back.

I love me some Juice, and wouldnt change the signing But how does his contract measure up to his contribution?

This RB contract sounds far and away the worst contract we are carrying, and thats with us just retaining Jimmy Ward.
Total: $36.9M
(Decline 2021 option: $6.9M salary, $6.9M roster bonus)
- $13.8M
= 3 years, 23.1M

Correct?

And I'm reading he's getting $12M this year out of the $23.1M?

Not as bad as that tweet looks

I won't even dignify this thread with serious responses now. The 'Zone is gonna 'Zone and people who always hate will always hate and the homers will always be homers. Those who are actually looking at this objectively are going to be bashing their heads into a wall in short order.

and it's not even that awful...he got a little more guaranteed cash then I thought he would ($11.7) BUT it's really just a one yr deal if they want it to be.

There's nothing about this deal that hurts SF past this yr...sorry kids hate to burst your bubble.

Nope. High end 3rd down back. Team still needs a guy who can actually run the football in between the tackles.

If this contract says anything, it's that we're not going to use him as just a 3rd down back.

You get that from your Kyle Shannahan?

He did have the opportunity when AP was suspended for the season for spanking his kid.

The Vikings tried to use him as an every down back and he instantly got hurt. They literally played Matt Asiata down the stretch over him.
Apparently it was a shootout for this dude. Nfl network said Jets had a deal done with him before the 49ers came in. Clearly multiple teams saw something in this guy and were willing to pay him this type of contract.
Tune into 95.7 the game now to hear Vikings announcers opinion

Can people cool their jet's and actually look at the deal...front loaded and basically a one yr deal if we want
