He got his money upfront, if he plays well then he's cheap in 2019 ($4.5 million cap hit) what in the world did you think he would get paid? This is 2018 and the cap space is at $178 million lol. I don't care if his a 3rd down back or whatever you're trying to say, he's gonna get yards thru the air on and on the ground.

He got paid more than Hyde and Lewis.

He has shown nothing in his career to show he is more than a high end third down back.

I get he is a system fit, but they overpaid. Period. Just as they did for Juice.

Yep still waiting for Juice to turn into that "OW"

4.41. Dude was a Combine Hall Of Famer, blew up like few guys I've seen blow up in all the time I've followed the draft. Freak doesn't even begin to describe him.

Juice was far more productive once Jimmy took over.

People defending this would drink Lynch's bath water. This is a trash contract. I'm excited by the player and I'm not gonna worry too much about it. But it looks to me to be a bad contract but if there was a bidding war it's for a reason.

$4M the second year doesn't sound too bad though...
you sure about that..seems like everything we do is terrible when reading the webzone

Taylor Mays had a great combine too.

lol you really want to hate on this don't you? The difference is McKinnion has shown he is a productive NFL RB. While Mays was clearly NEVER an NFL caliber DB.

I guess you missed the last 5 games of the season.

So did Calvin Johnson
We better hope he's worth keeping for two years. All the sudden he'll be worth $8M a year instead of just $12M this year. Which is still pricey, but sounds a lot better.

Like I said what the hell did you think he's worth then? Apparently SF wasn't the only team after him and Lewis is 3 yrs older and constantly injured...IF teams thought Hyde was worth more there would have been a market for him, there wasn't.

What do you think Kyle and Co. just walked up to McKinnon and said here take as much money as you want? LOL no man there was a market for him.

SF got him more than likely because they gave him a good upfront paycheck (with nothing much after this yr unless he balls out) and he wanted to play in this scheme.

I'm completely fine giving him most of his money this yr when we have a s**t ton of cash ($54 million) after this.

Wait, Paraag DIDNT give out an irresponsible and costly contract? Oh thats right, he never does bad deals.

Some people here are ridiculously short sighted. We JUST saw Paraag work Sherman for a great contract, and some peoples first reaction to this was to cry about McKinnon getting 30 mil?

Kyle isn't afraid to put money towards a FB and RB. Makes sense. If people think we overpaid, balance is key...we massively underpaid for Goodwin.

Nope. Not even close.

It has already been reported we got into a bidding war with the Jets.

Paraag does not have final say on who we sign. If Lynch and Shanny tell him to sign someone, he does it, He just tries to do it in the bets way possible. Im not Criticising Marathe. Im sure he got the best deal for the club he could. Im criticizing getting into a bidding war and overpaying for a third down back.

Like i said, i love Juice, but there are mot many people out there that would argue it prudent to sign a Fullback to the highest FB contract in the league.

I just see bigger areas of need where we could have over spent if we wanted to overspend.

Again, i like the other moves besides Dumervil cut, but any time someone even slightly criticizes a contract over here, the faithful come wiht the pitchfork and torch mobs. The homers are worse than the guys that are negative about everything. Either agree 100%, of have your fanhood questioned.
