It isn't for next year. Its for this season. He will be the starting right tackle for the 49ers.

Its not the flashy pick, and i dont like everyone and their moms knowing we were going to pick him (our HC best friend mocked him to us FFS), but i cant argue with the value in getting the best T in the draft at #9.

McGlinchey is an immediate starter. Trent Brown is done. He's either getting traded or will be the swing tackle this season.

I'm told the reason the Niners took Mike McGlinchey with the 9th pick in the #NFLDraft is Trent Brown was terribly out of shape at mini camp and they have reservations about him off the shoulder surgery.
