I heard it on two different podcast from two different reporters. They were certain he was limping. This sucks

he said he was fine and ready to go

After last Monday's practice when he was limping?

Great news.

Crossing fingers that his knee holds up the entire season. But I'm still not convinced he's 💯%, and won't be for another year. I am going to watch that knee Tendinitis/Irritation situation like a hawk this next couple of games.

I will have my eyes like a hawk on our entire O line. Imo, they are the key to the team being successful this season.

I can't remember a season whether it be 2019 or even last year where we went into a season with a confident OLine. I think everyone is nervous about OLine play. Tis natural

I can't say it hasn't been a priority. They've sunk enough draft picks into the position and did some trades AND free agent spending. Horrible luck and they haven't developed any of the draft picks so far. Hoping this year changes things.

they did not prioritize the center and there is no doubt about that... the fact they knew or had a VERY VERY strong idea mack would retire and then did nothing on the first days of free agency and then took tepid steps to address it in the draft is very very poor on lynch and kyle... and they over valued some draft picks as well. luck has nothing to do with it.. blaming things on luck is for losers... they did not prioritize the center.. they over valued people and just in general did a woefully inadequate job of addressing the o line.. you can be a fan but still be critical of them. makes no sense. the team is built to win now.. they did a nice job giving trey skills guys but were fairly impotent in addressing the biggest key for a young qb in my opinion

He's what some would call the definition of mediocre.

Hopefully we find his replacement next year.

They spent twice in free agency on a center. Personally I'm not sold on Brendel and I would've drafted a guy in 2021 to prepare to take over. But the reality is they spent twice. They made trades twice and they have had draft picks. I brought up them not developing anyone because thats the only method that had been just about a total fail so far.
RT is by far our weakest position IMO. And that includes MM.

I think our guard play will be fine (Banks still scares me though) .

In hindsight -- I would have liked a Offensive Lineman pick where Trey Sermon was picked.

At some point, you have to look at the position coaches. The OL guys that have been good under Shanahan have either been here before (Staley) or trades/FA signees (LT, Mack, Richburg). None of the draft picks have met or exceeded expectations. McKivitz, Moore, McG, Banks, etc., will not be on Foerster and Cregg's resumes when they look for their next job.

The really good coaches take the average player and move them up a level. The fact none of the current group have shown any significant growth speaks to low-quality coaching, IMO.

at least ck had a very very very very good period of playing very good football.. brief.... but more than this guy has had in my opinion

Naw I would put at least center before RT. We have a slew of potential Brendal's at tackle like McKivits and Moore. You could even throw Brunskill into that mix at RT too. RT is more important than guard but I don't feel great about the guard position at all. Riding two complete unknowns into the season.
