If we could upgrade to average pass blocking and downgrade to average run blocking with whatever pedestrian replaces McGlinchey I think that would be a win. His pass blocking is absolutely horrific.
There's absolutely no way this guy is coming back. He's always been soft.
he's having a terrible season

We don't need elite run blocking with mccaffrey, just moderate pass blocking works here
Frank Clark's comments .."we still stepping on them 2yrs later ". Easy to say when you're going up against McGlinchy. McGlinchy just stinks. Didn't our backups when he was out do better ?
At this point I'm fine trading him for a day 3 pick.
This guy sucks. How many first rounders have been squandered since Lynch/Shanahan took over. This team has drafted two top tier offensive players in 6 years..Deebo and Kittle. They have failed to build an offensive line...only Trent Williams and he was not a draft pick...it took them 6 years to get an elite back ..cmc..and that was a trade not a draft pick. We havent drafted a top QB in 6 years....the jury is still out on Lance.

Mike McGlinchy is an embarassment...the Solomon Thomas of the offensive line. He is the perfect example of this regime's offensive draft failures.
Franchise tag and trade McGlinchey in the off-season. Something similar to what Nolan did with Brandon Lloyd back in 2006.

I believe he was tendered ;)
I could have sworn Frank Clark stepped on this guy's face as he ran him over lol or was I seeing things?

Whose trading for a year of that franchise tagged salary as if he's a must have tackle? Just let him walk and take the comp

Yeah Lloyd actually showed promise and was decent sans the ball ducking.

Mcglinchey had one of the worst performances I have seen today by a lineman.

I'll be curious to see his pff grade. I expect it should be near a season low for a player but linemen seem to get some sort of magical lower end buff that will probably make it seem just bad and not terrible as it was.
He played a pretty good game. Jimmy needs to get rid of the ball quicker.
Struggles as a pass blocker with speed especially. Pretty good run blocker. Massive OT with some talent but some short comings too.
2 sacks and 2 penalties today. the weird thing is that MM has gotten progressively worse each season since his rookie year. He seems like a guy who doesn't enjoy football
