I refuse to click on that cause it's likely just click bait but did Joe Staley actually call out Mike?

Understandable.

Yup.

PS: Staley > Rich

I'm glad Joe Staley called MM out on his game saying he needs to get better at his weakness not just look good in practice but to show it during games MM needed to get chewed out let's see if big Joe words got to him this Sunday

They don't

I really thought Joe would be here in a coaching role this year. His sports Bay Area pregame gig died. I bet he's sniffing to come back next season as OL coach. He's been with family a couple of years now. Wife will probably approve now.

He would certainly bring the standard and mindset we need back. And the technique. He actually would be a brutally honest position coach.

Shanny may need to be replaced but apparently the Lynch doesn't think he's got anyone better at this point.
Grappy may need to be replaced but apparently Shanny wont have anyone else for his Shanigans to blame at this point.
I see how all these reporters kind of tip-toe around certain questions or just ask nicely about certain players' "struggles". I would just love one to say to Shannahan in an interview, "You do know that McGlinchey sucks, right"?
This guy is honestly too lean. He looks too much like he trying to have lean muscle mass instead of having that bulky powerlifter body frame like Trent Williams has. It's wierd too cuz this guy was bulkier coming out of Notre Dame.

Being that lean means he is likely getting overpowered by the bigger guys. Or he just flat out sucks lol which is a possibility

I think it's by design to take extra weight off his knee/hammy. He's still doing PRP injections.

Kyle should definitely at least see if he can make it happen. I saw he had an interest in having BY as a dline coach. Obviously, we wound up doing well with Kocurek. But Staley back here in that role would seemingly be just a perfect fit.

That I suppose would make some sense. It's a weird fit though for the right tackle, a position in which, traditionally anyway, the guy isn't protecting the QB's blind side and it's more of a strong side/running blocking/road grading position even though that's changed a bit in terms of defenses moving guys around more based on matchups and maybe going with lighter/quicker pass rushers all the way around. But then lighter/quicker pass rushers were a chink in his armor at Notre Dame too. It's definitely not hearkening back to the days of Trent Brown.
