Another good game by him. Gave up zero sacks on 50/52 plays.
What are we going to do with this guy? He has to play better in pass protection which will help make our offense even more explosive.

Even jimmy turnovers wasn't getting that off with a face full of floyd. That was 100% McGlinchey.
lol no

As Greg Olsen pointed out, the fault was a lack of good communication between Burford and Brendel. Burford was looking back for Garoppolo's signal to snap the ball. When he got it, he looked to Brendel as he tapped him and Brendel snapped the ball before Burford could get his head around to block Floyd. Burford wound up with no one to block while McGlinchey had a man on the outside.

Mcglinchy wasn't part of that play..

but yeah.. that play you are talking about is not jimmys fault in any way.. tough to have to look behind you and be up against Donald in front of you
Meh. I don't hold out too much hope for McGlinchey. In my eyes, he's a good run-blocker, but he's hit or miss in pass protection. It seems like he's always on the wrong end of being in the opposing pass rusher's highlight reel.
He's probably going to be extended at the end of the season... My hope is that he re-signs for cheap so we can spend our money elsewhere.

After the game McGlinchey was interviewed and he said you are his least favorite fake fan.

I think he gets overpaid somewhere else. Like Tomlinson out in NY. There are plenty of desperate teams out there that will throw the cash at any serviceable linemen in FA.

Agreed, there's plenty of MM caliber or possibly better in the 3rd round. I'll take my chances there or hoping Moore and McKivitz improve, need every penny for guys who deserve pay days

Olsen's comment was that Brendel snapped the ball early. It was his fault that Burford did not have time to get his head around to pick up his blocking assignment.

Let him leave In the off-season so we can find a suitable replacement would be my guess.
He played well. He's the Jimmy G of the offensive line.
