Need to find an RT that is athletic enough to stay with speedier pass rushers or a guy with some bulk that can handle power rushers, preferably one that can handle both. Right now McGlinchey doesn't seem to be able to handle either.

At least he's helping guys up now instead of just looking and running away

He played well against the Rams and still looks hurt. I hope the bye week helps him for the remainder of the season.

I think you must be joking. Poe would be the shortest tackle in history

Anyone know how Nelson is doing this year? the colts Oline this year has been horrible, but I'm not sure Nelson is to blame.

No, not even close. Check the Offensive Line thread for an update. He is just now getting healthy. He will get better.

he does have his bad plays but people just like to hate on him he is probably just an above average RT
i think people might have to get used to the idea that we will resign him. We will not get a better RT in draft without getting super lucky and i doubt we will go to FA where any OT will be far more expensive

Given his draft slot, people expected more of him. However, having an "above average" RT is not the worst thing in the world.
I have no idea about OTs coming out of the draft, but lacking 1st and 2nd round picks, we would have to be super lucky as you say.
As to UFAs, only two RTs rank higher than McGlinchey - Jack Conklin in Cleveland and Elgton Jenkins in Green Bay. Both of those guys are going to get paid quite well. Conklin is already getting $8M/yr, the 8th highest-paid RT. His new deal will set the market. In a year when there is so little quality available, the market may be north of $10M/yr.
All that to say, I would be shocked if Lynch let McGlinchey leave in FA short of getting wildly outbid in the FA market, something I don't see happening unless he finished the year at the highest level he has yet played. His base was $10M/ but he isn't going to get that again. He will resign here. There is no other choice for him or the team.

The Mcglinchey will be back/there is no other option propaganda is strong in this thread.
He is the weak link of the line. No way you are going to give this guy a 10 million plus a year deal. Thats just crazy talk. Pay the extra money for a different free agent or make a trade.

C and RG are both weaker than RT now
OT is just usually on an island and his mistakes tend to be a bit more glaring
