He is the weak link of the line. No way you are going to give this guy a 10 million plus a year deal. Thats just crazy talk. Pay the extra money for a different free agent or make a trade.
As I outlined above, there are no other FAs next year that are as good as McGlinchey. For that same reason, there will be no RTs that will be available in trade unless you really overpay.

My guess is McGlinchey will resign a three-year deal for about $10M guaranteed with a base of about $5.5M, with some incentives.

I think he would not take less than 10 million a year if he's a free agent, he will definitely get offered that from some bad team. No way he takes that low of a guarantee or that low average per year salary. I'm glad because Brunskill or Burford will be better at right tackle in pass protection at least.

Also we may get a high comp pick too

As I look at other numbers, the guarantee will more likely be in the $15-17M range. As to base, Conklin is at $8M and MM is not as good as Conklin.

I would be fine with Brunskill at RT. Better PP and similar RBLK. I don't see Burford moving to RT after all this time at RG but what do I know?

C and RG are both weaker than RT now

OT is just usually on an island and his mistakes tend to be a bit more glaring

PFF shows:
Brendal has 454 snaps given up 0 sacks with 6 penalties.

Burford shows 404 snaps 0 sacks 3 penalties.

Banks shows 490 snaps 3 penalties 0 sacks

Mcglinchey shows 468 snaps 4 penalties and 5 sacks

Mcglinchey is not horrible but he is not worth the big contract he will likely get in free agency. He is the weakest link on the line

those PFF stats are already not correct there was 1 sack that Burford gave up to Donald this year where he went completely unblocked. Burford even admitted it was his fault

There was another sack this past game where it was a complete miscommunication and the DT got a sack right through the C/OG position.

And this isnt an anti Burford take he is playing fantastic especially for a rookie and i think he is the future of the position but i do think he is a weaker link atm (but also ahs higher upside)
I take back what I said about not liking Mcglinchey the most on the team. At least he is a available and plays. Not that great, but serviceable.

I think Kinlaw is the biggest bust on this team by far. I honestly have forgotten how bad he is because he is literally never around to think about. His biggest claim to fame is chewing out Grant Cohn but looks like that is all he does is run his mouth. Out of sight out of mind.

I don't take PFF as a holy standard either but they are one of the only sites who track offensive lineman stats.

I think as a whole the offensive line has played well besides when we played the chiefs

They have.

Also.if we judge them like how other players are judged on this team by this forum every time they miss a block and the rb gets tackled the running back is also at fault for not making then miss.

Trust what your eyes tell you. I was discussing McGlinchey with a poster this off-season who loves statistics and he was defending him with a PFF rating. I told him I was just gonna trust what I see over a system that has no checks that can easily be bribed by an agent. He since then has seen the light this season and is done with McGlinchey.

You have a wise friend. Pride usually prevents fans from seeing the light no matter how much evidence is there. Have you seen my injury thread over the years? LOL

You are correct but Brendel and Burford are making a fraction of what McGlinchey makes and that number will increase by 50% minimum after this season. I think we can upgrade at center. I'd give Burford another year but give him competition. I'm hoping the run blocking can improve in the 2nd half of the seaaon. It would be great to have both at the same time.
