From what I could see on the television version last night, MM was terrible last night. Watch his run blocking, it was atrocious. Full or arm reaching, almost no leg drive or leverage. Maybe he's injured and still playing? He needs to be benched. Time for Brunskill or McKitvitz (sp?) at RT. Honestly, they couldn't be worse.
He played Khalil Mack and pitched a shutout. Mack had a sack but not on McG. That's a win I liked it. Did he get backed into JG and hold? Yes. But come on almost sacks are not sacks. Gave up no sacks.
Either way MM was complete trash, I can't get over towards the end of the game during the drive when we needed a td to seal the game he looked horrific at a run blocking assignment that got CMC stopped for a loss. At this point he only plays due to draft status and salary, McKivitz and Moore can do the same bs at a lower price but at least there's potential growth. With MM you already know what you have and it's garbage, I wouldn't even offer him a contract and take my shot a developing one of the current guys or a 3rd round pick
I hear how he is trash and I try to square that with the fact he's vs Khalil Mack who's top 10 graded PFF at his position and he shut Mack out. I see an inconsistency there. Pure trash would have allowed a 2-3+ Mack sacks. There was 1 sack all game and it was a designed no one block Mack, a naked. Collinsworth mocked the play call. If we can say that McG is not dominating out there and getting pushed around okay but let's not bury the guy when he allows 0 sacks vs Mack that's what we want and should be celebrated.

Brunskill out there blocking two guys on the same play while glintchy can't even block one.
Yet keep brunskill on the bench.

You mean got manhandled... Getting planted into your qbs face and holding every play doesnt count as blocking in my book.
He served as a nice pile for Mack to throw into Jimmy all game you mean.

Right tackle Mike McGlinchey just missed the top five offensive 49ers players. His 75.3 overall grade was his second-highest of the season (81.2 - Week 6).

Well done McG. He's been a consistent cornerstone of one of the best o-lines in the league.

What are ppl watching? It's like ppl get a narrative.. (he sucks) and don't even view the facts.. like no sacks allowed all night. If we are gonna trash him all week let's actually respond to the game if he gives up zero sacks vs one of the elite pass rushers in the game how is that not a win or a good thing. Let's celebrate the little victories and that was a big victory imo.

I'd love to see them bench Glinch and Go with Brunskill.
I doubt that happens anytime soon though because of where Glinch was drafted.

Decided Brunskill is a guard. Is what it is.
At this point i'd rather see Burford get some snaps out there at RT. He has the quick feet to make it work out there.

Wasn't Burford a Tackle in college? I think that would be smart with Brunskill at RG. You know that will never happen tho as long as Mcglinchey is around.

Hard to wrap our head around the idea that PFF said he played well above average. I saw numerous plays where he was being beat in pass pro and run blocking. I try to give PFF some benefit of the doubt, but that's seems patently wrong.
McGlinchey appears to be our weakest starter, along with Lenoir.
