He had a really strong game. Still he litterally let Crosby had a one on one with Purdy in the first 49ers drive of the game. Thankfully, Purdy was able to avoid the pressure and scramble. If it was Jimmy, he would have been killed by Mad Maxx.
As far as re-signing him, nope sorry. It would cost too much money for the Niners. McGlinchey will get huge offers on the FA market. I´m sure there´s a bunch of cheaper RTs that could do the same job.

Just came here to give McGlinchey his props for stuffing Maxx Crosby, who has become a top 5 pass rusher this year. I normally crap on McGlinchey, but he deserves praise this week. No way we win this game if he was struggling and making Purdy run for his life.

That's just the problem...there aren't. He will be the best FA RT available this off-season. He has been steadily improving his game these past 8 weeks. Several reporters have said he is playing the best ball of his career, three nasty penalties notwithstanding.

Spotrac estimates his market value at 4 years, $43M. It will likely come down to the guaranteed money.

IMO, the 49ers will have to pay him or go with a very untested Colton McKivitz to protect our treasure chest of young, quality QBs.
