Ja'Waun James - 31 - did not play this year
Jawaan Taylor - 25 - 68
David Quessenberry - 33 - 67
Josh Wells - 32 - 48
Jermaine Eluemunor - 29 - 21 (only real comp to McGlinchey)
Marcus Cannon - 35 - spent the year on the couch
Ty Nsekhe - 37 - 34
Le'Raven Clark - 30 - did not play this year

Mike McGlinchey - 28 - 35 - if I counted correctly, McGlinchey is the #9 ranked RT.

Since nobody is going to trade us a starting RT, that leaves us with either McKivitz or a comp pick at the end of the 3rd round to replace Mc if we can't resign him.

See the problem?

Paying an average tackle lots of money is exactly the kind of decision that can set a franchise back - especially one which is a contender and doesn't have a lot of cap space to begin with.

McGlinchey is not an elite tackle but he is well above average.
Bye bye

prepare to be disappointed.
Not sure what will happen with him, but if we do bring him back I hope it isn't a long term deal.
Time to say BYE !!
.
If the price is right we'll bring him back on a deal where we can cut him loose later down the line.

And I'm perfectly fine with that. If he can get a better deal elsewhere then so be it.
I feel ok about Mckivitz, he improves each year and has been solid. This org likes to promote from within.
We'll take him at the right price. Otherwise Mckivitz and use the draft comp.

What about his scattered 71 reps gives you confidence that he is "solid?"

He may be our only choice if McGlinchey gets the four-year $60M offer various sites are projecting, however, that doesn't make me feel very confident.

we might just have enough depth at RT with McKivitz, Moore and Brunskill

Though the sample size was small, Moore would rank outside the top 50 OTs this year. He is scheduled to back up TW. He has had little experience at RT.

Brunskill would be fine at OT but he is our best swing player at this point. We don't have anyone else that can do what he does.

That leaves us with McK for better or worse.
If you listen to MM exit interview with the press dude thinks he'll get elite money saying he's no idiot.

I hope we are not the ones to give him that elite money $$$

He will be offered whatever the market will bear. At present, McGlinchey is by far the best UFA OT out there. That is going to drive the price up. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. I'm sure Mc has already had that conversation with his agent. We won't know the answer until mid-March.
