WR Dante "Do something...anything" Pettis

Yesterday the Fox commentators briefly mentioned Pettis "came to camp out of shape." I believe coaching staff wanted Pettis to add muscle over the off-season. The guy is built like a soccer player.

he was in for two snaps in the Tampa game and caught one for yards...
more then some of the players have done.

To put it into dog house perspective, he's had 37 total snaps of the 139. Only Skule, T.Coleman, Dwelley, Wilson and Garland have less and Skule and Wilson might pass him up next game if this pace continues.
Steelers defense plays a lot of man. I expect Pettis to dominate this week.

I hope he works his ass off in practice to at least earn some targets.

I still have faith in Pettis. I think he can be an elite #2. Gotta snap out of this though.

well as of today. he needs to leapfrog deebo and goodwin and most likely james. and then taylor and hurd come back. it is going to have to step up mentally and physically

I meant (even though I didnt say it) in the long run. I definitely dont mean 2019, with how this has started.

i get it. i just wonder IF taylor and hurd come back strong . we have deebo. goodwin playing at a high level. then james has been more than fine... you just wonder what his future is. even the announcers yesterday said he is in the coaches doghouse. would love to know why. attitude. desire? kind of a mystery

His future will be getting a ring with Brady and coach Cheat.

Maybe If he practices and make it into the game. I really think this has everything to do with his attitude, and maybe his work ethic. By work ethic, do thing the way the couches want him to do them. It's not his way, it's there way.

lol,, like jj stokes did!
He may not be getting receptions, but atleast when hes in there hes still putting 100% effort examples: the trick play where he threw the ball back and the blocking for the molster td.
This guy is annoying me lol he's on my FF team... killing me. If he would of got even one catch, I would of won. So god damn annoying lol

I dont know what is going on with Pettis but I'm pretty certain it has nothing to do with him being out of shape. If it was Barrows or Maiocco woulda reported it.

To play devils advocate, someone being skinny or slim looking doesnt necessarily mean the person is in shape. One of my best friends, who is 6'0, 150 pounds is in the worst shape of anyone I know. You dont need to be fat to be out of shape.

(not saying Pettis is out of shape, just trying to play the other side)

I'm not really saying he couldnt be out of shape. Just that if it that was the case we all wouldve heard about it from the Matts. It'd be weird that everybody is trying to guess what the issue is but Chris Bielman or whatever his name is has the answer.

Isn't he still working through the groin pull?

They need to make up already.

It's not real. The broadcaster mixed up him with Deebo who did have to work extra hard to trim down. BUT, the commentator did say Pettis was in Kyle's doghouse big time.

maybe pettis just assumed he would be the big dog or cat. then we drafted two kids and deebo has earned a spot and is out playing him,,, and he can not take it mentally.. could be that simple.. it is looking more and more like nc was right all along about pettis. when taylor and hurd come back. then the screws really tighten up on pettis

Unfortunately I agree with you.

Unfortunately I agree with you.

But Pettis looks like a team first guy - been supporting Deebo and whoever else has produced so far look at his ig/twitter- if he was bitter/negative about it wouldn't expect that then
