3rd year is always the make or break season.

whether he stays or not depends on the "stuff" he is dealing with.. not to mention... will he fall further down the depth chart or deeper into the dog house when taylor and hurd come back

i think the common theory is borne is the odd man out when taylor and hurd come back.. but i do not totally discount your theory.

He could be and that's the sad part. It's crystal clear that Pettis is still a young boy and our coaching staff is turned off by this fact evidenced by us drafting a pair of tough guys in Deebo and Hurd.

The NFL is a mans league. Pettis comes across more as a guy who sells dangling earrings at the weekend flea market than a starting receiver in the NFL. Time will tell if Pettis has enough Y chromosomes to succeed in this league.

Trade the firm is what it would take to get a quality OL at this stage. That ship has sailed. It's the Skule Show now. And Brunskill after him if he fails.

...yeah.

The answer to all things on the webzone. Cut him, trade him...

This is still the same kid who put up some of the best rookie WR numbers on this team in a damn long time but let's trade him.

This.

I believe he's talented. Maybe some others are more talented but no way you cut the kid. Keep developing him. Find ways to put him in situations to succeed.

First thing he did in Denver.
A few of us hung tough wth Arik, and with GOOD Coaching, he's come around. Not there yet but noticeably better. Guess we can do that with. Pettis too, esp if he is nursing a groin injury. Personally i see good coming out of using him primarily as a blocking WR, and when he does that well, have him start working extra with Jimmy. I am sure he will give him some time. Pettis is a real talent and somehow it didn't come with him to the 9ers. Whether it is motivation, injury, or whatever, who knows. Just hang tough. Let him become a top flite blocker and then start working him in to the passing game. I like the idea of him acheiving blocking skills first and then once he does that, the reward is to get targets.

Listen to PHX...he always is wise. .

Straight up, this dude just wants to play football but have fun like he did in college (grow the f*** up bruh).

I don't think he wants pressure/expectation of being #1...perfectly fine with someone else taking all the spotlight in that regards.

Just be sure to look at his social media tho, he like it if you give his posts likes, favs, heart and cat emojis or whatever the f***

what's wrong with photography? Goodwin does it as well....freaking Myles Garnett writes poetry and loves dinosaurs lol.

ya'll need to calm down with what a guy does in his free time, as long as it's nothing illegal or derogatory who gives a f**k.

explain? He played more snaps than anyone last game...was he not getting open? IF he wasn't could you show me? His blocking helped that run game go wild last Sunday.

He's clearly not on the same page with Jimmy G. It's a work in progress, not only with him but all of these young WRs. They need continuity with the QB, trust. It's a reason why Taylor is important. Him and Jimmy are on the same page. His skill set of getting open quickly is something JG loves and will be a HUGE asset while Joe is out.

Pettis has talked about having to tighten up his strides and routes. He reminds me a little of Stevie Johnson, in the sense that his routes are a little unorthodox....it's only yr two not everything is continual progress, there's peaks and valleys. He will get it.
All you Fantasy Football players better start Pettis this week. He's gonna go off this week.
