Completely agree, Mayo.

I think any one of 3 receivers that'll be coming out of Bama this year could fit that role. The plus side is, they've got so many receiving weapons down here that I don't think any of those 3 guys will go top 10 or 15 because they spread the ball around so much that no one is getting huge numbers.

Check out Jerry Jeudy....my draft crush this year.

Problem is Jeudy will probably go early and we do need to address the O line, or has that problem gone away. If we draft late it's going to come down to best player between O line, corner and wide receiver in Kyle and Lynch's mind.
There's trust here. JG trusts him as we saw when he threw the game winner to him. Shanny trusts Dante too. Pettis was getting a lot of the snaps when we had single WR sets.

This is all about focus and consistency, similar to Spoon. Too many people wrote off Spoon. I didn't give up on Spoon and I'm not giving up on Pettis.

IMO, it's more important for Jimmy to become more consistent and improve his medium to deep ball than acquiring a WR1

Been proven time and time again that you don't need a true #1 to win SB's. Kyle is also a mastermind with play calling, play design and strategizing.

Let Deebo and (eventually) Hurd develop and hope Pettis can step it up and continue to develop as well.

Pettis hasn't developed. Deebo doesn't see too many snaps and can't catch. You still need a WR #1 to bail you out in tough situations where cant get your running game going.

Get AJ Green.
Pettis is officially on a second year slump.

Deebo's snap count :

1- 60 (88%)
2- 29 (40%)
3- 41 (52%)
4- 35 (46%)

He has seen plenty of snaps judging by his percentage of offensive snaps.

And Pettis has flashed some but has yet to show the type of consistency needed to earn a bigger role.

Again you don't need a true #1, history has proven that. It is a luxury not a necessity and this team already has a #1 offensive target and offensive weapon in Kittle.

Dante isn't being traded, please stop this nonsense, week 3 he catches game winning TD, now he has a mental mistake and you want him gone.

Green isn't happening, the 49ers don't have the cap room to make a trade for him, they have to worry about potential incentives being reached, they only have $18.5M, then they need up to $3.5M for roster bonus repayments, then potential of $4M for Sherman's incentives, leaves no wiggle room, or carryover when we only have $5.7M in cap room in 2020, Quick Fix trades aren't happening, and shouldn't. Plus Green is injured anyway, the guy hasn't played this season.

seems to happen alot here lately. But at least witherspoon is bouncing back.

I heard reports that Pettis came into camp out of shape which means he didnt train enough this offseason. Having a down season could motivate him to try harder this offseason.
I think we seriously need to take a look at AJ Green. I think having him around would instantly elevate JimmyG's game and take some pressure off these young kids. Let these young receivers be support for a #1 WR like AJ Green. With Green and Kittle drawing the attention, they will be wide open and having success. The confidence will do alot for them

$15M this year. Do we even have the space right now?

Bengals ownership has said they want to keep him and are confident in getting a new contract extension done.

And Green may very well cost at least a first round pick.
anyone have a gif of Jimmy visually upset after that easy 6 , dropped by Pettis? Dude was pist with a 3 score lead. I somewhat wondered why Pettis almost was thrown into practice squad.
