Your question isn't relevant because you are speculating on Kyles true feelings which neither of us really know. Coaches say all sorts of things, true or untrue, to either motivate or validate players.
If you followed Kyle closely there were a number of comments he made about Garnett that indicated he was not thrilled with him. Many of us knew he was done.
Speculating? Dudes was in the doghouse all off season. And now he hasn't produced at the level Kyle wants and goes out and gets Sanders. You have to ignore a lot to spin the other way.

Yet he made it to this years training camp. Why?

Did you see our interior depth??? Injuries and hope he'd turn it around because like Pettis, he had loads of talent. Kyle learns.

As compared to our current great established depth at WR?

So he went and got Sanders specifically because of Pettis. Nothing to do with Taylor and Hurd injuries being worse than first thought. Only because Pettis isn't producing and needs to be traded.
Who is Kyle drafting in round 1 next year? Clearly you have him all figured out.

Yes...unlike our IOL depth, Kyle DID go out and draft Deebo and Hurd and then traded 2 more draft picks for Sanders. He also has Matthews should he need another Z to back up Bourne. If Pettis sits the rest of the year, that's pretty much the same production you've gotten from him thus far (83 yards) so if a deal is there to be made, and Kyle is done trying with the kid and doesn't believe he has it, yeah, it's a very real possibility.

Is there really any value in trading Pettis? His on field development has been put on the back burner because of the signing of Sanders and the fact that we have a defense and run game to contend with the top teams in the NFC. But I just don't see how trading him at this point makes any sense.

With no 2nd, 3rd or 4th, I think the package would more likely include draft picks...maybe a player. Hard to say. But I agree. With his production, he's just not going to garner much of anything which is why the original report mentioned him as a package deal.

Just remember, I said IMHO, there's a 75% we retain him. My stance here is that this IS a real possibility and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was part of a package deal...like Thomas, Mullens, Goodwin, James, etc.
Man, when's the last time you saw multiple players from one team get traded at the October trade deadline lol? Like I keep saying this isn't fantasy football

There's no way a team would take 4 or 5 players in a trade They would have to cut that many to make room for them and I've never seen that happen.

It's a trading league now, son. All the crusty GM's are gone. All the young GM's are going full Madden.

But yeah...it would be like many others: player plus draft pick for a higher draft pick.
