Garnett was in the doghouse and they let him stay on IR an entire year then sat around on the bench for another year before they decided to release him. Why didn't they cut him year 1 when his knee was bad? He wasn't even their guy.
Maybe its not a talent issue? If its an attitude problem, waiting doesnt change anything.
As I said before, Pettis plays like hes not interested at times. He has his ups and downs. There was like 1 game this season where he was going up for the ball. Other times it needs to be right in his bread basket for him to make a move on it at all.
Joe Williams had talent. How come we didnt give him 3 years? Because his attitude was s**t and his heart wasnt in it.
Personally, unless were getting a receiver back in a trade, Id rather keep him just for depth. But I also wouldnt be mad if we let him go. Richie James in his limited snaps has made some impressive plays when given the chance. KB is always an option.
