I don't think Shanahan is going to trade Pettis unless he gets something pretty good in return - and I don't think he'll think a third round pick is a good enough return. Just my opinion.
I wonder if Pettis is seeing things through a tunnel now when he is on the field. Too aware of what he is doing and not enough aware of the bigger picture. Maybe too focused on not screwing up. I think he's got to figure out how to play loose but with greater intensity. Get out of that tunnel.

Seriously though I think you're missing the point NCommand is trying to make. And it's that there is plenty of reason to believe Pettis doesn't take his job or his opportunity to be a WR1 seriously. Everything seems like a big passive joke to him. Not sure if it's the entitlement of being drafted so high or because he comes from an athletic background and he doesn't seem to try very hard.
Of course, that is all perception. It's the perception he creates. He's got some maturing to do.

I agreed with him about Pettis' work ethic during the offseason. I thought today's post was below the belt (joke or not) because he questioned Pettis' work ethic because Dante was watching cartoons on his free time. Meanwhile he vigorously defends Trent Brown who has own issues with work ethic.
