Reputation and pride of Shanny. They traded UP in the 2nd round and NOBODY had him as the best player available where he was picked. When teams do this for players they fall in love with in the draft, those players no question get all the chances and time in the world to prove them right. Nobody's trading s**t for him cause he was never viewed the same by others as he was by us and yes cut this scrub already

what a god damn waste of TWO draft picks

We should've just traded him in the effing off-season. I doubt he would've beaten out a healthy Hurd anyway. They acted like he turned a corner in training camp and then he got 1 opportunity, failed, and then apparently has sucked so bad in practice since that he's not even active anymore.

Trent Taylor is useless as well. If we can't trade them, just cut them.

You know, when you have players on a team that don't really appear to be motivated... it causes problems, one of which is the excuse to fail. Players (even the most disciplined) can start using the duds to rationalize poor performance... because that performance, relatively speaking is far better than what a guy like Pettis is producing. Then on game day, the people really working end up wiping the floor with ya.

How this can happen in less than a year...

I do think Covid, a couple of leadership departures, and the loss of Bosa has a lot to do with it. But, JG????? that, that has to get figured out. He's looking at an offseason next year that may be as mentally challenging if not more than Carr's.

We did have a good big slot in Sanu too. Maybe try White since Bourne can't hold on to a football recently esp. out muscle for a ball when contested.
