Well at least they finally announced that he's on the block. Let's see if anyone's interested. He's played so little other than his first season that teams may have a hard time evaluating him. There may be some team that sees that 2nd round talent instead of what we've seen the last 2 years. At least he isn't injured and he doesn't have off field issues.

He's on his way to being cut. Then be a free agent then Miraculously will be signed by Seattle 1 week before we play them.

If Bill O'Brien was still running things, we could've swapped him for JJ watt and gotten a 3rd. Any chance we would want to send him and a 2nd for JJ?

Not sure if serious
We can't take Watts contract.
Texans will never trade the guy who raised 90 million dollars in hurricane relief.
JJ Watt would cost much much much more.

That probably will keep some teams from making a trade but he has less than 4 years in the league so he would go thru waivers. I doubt he would make it all the way to the Seahawks since the worst teams get first crack.

If you don't think Pettis can cook our DBs, you haven't been paying attention. Maybe it'll set in when he catches a bomb from Wilson for a TD against us. Not saying he's going to be some star or anything close to that, but people around here act like he's AJ Jenkins simply because he's in the a coach's doghouse and the QB can't get him the ball.

I don't think it is that Jimmy can't get him the ball. It is the fact that Jimmy won't throw him the ball at all. On the outside looking in, Jimmy doesn't like Pettis or doesn't trust him and refuses to throw him the ball. Shanahan can't force Jimmy to throw Pettis the ball. That trust has to be there.
I lean towards it being a Pettis and Jimmy Problem, more than a Pettis and Shanahan problem. I mean Pettis is a wierd guy, so maybe he rubs Jimmy the wrong way. Tom Brady was the same way. If he didn't trust a guy he wouldn't throw him the ball.

Because the Browns already have Beckham and Landry. Besides the 49ers can't take on Garrett's contract. 49ers also need their picks, so I would at least ask for a 6th round pick along with Garrett.
Okay then let's do Pettis, Tevin Coleman, Tartt, Witherspoon, and Kwon for Garrett, Odell, and a 6th. I mean come on, they'd have to say yes to that, right?
No Sir, I don't want Odell anywhere near a 49ers uniform. And I'd rather keep Tartt. Besides, the way the season has gone if we were to get Garrett and Odell they'd wind up with season ending injuries the first game as a 49er.
We need a plan to get cheap talent, not guys on their 2nd contracts. With that said, I'd go for that trade to get Garrett, but I want no part of Odell. I'd rather try to replace a SS, CB, and ILB than try to find a top level pass rusher. I don't think this trade is realistic however.
Naw, I'm just being facetious.
Sorry, you hear so many scenarios on here you can never tell. In all seriousness, I don't mind trading for a proven pass rusher and just rebuild our secondary and get a Kwon replacement through the draft. Granted the back end of our defense won't be as good as 2019, but the D-line should be near that level of performance if we can get a dominating pass rush rusher opposite of Bosa for 2021.

May have to wait till after lunch when someone will offer half their ham sandwich. I'd hold out for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich though.
