With Pettis not running his routes properly he does not get to where he is meant to be on time. Makes the QB look bad but the blame is on the receiver. The coaches know this. You obviously do not.

@ This point it don't matter but who wanted this pick... Shanny or Lynch? I say get the best picks you can if not Cut him.(how does that work since he was a 2nd round pick as far as comp picks go for next year)

Since draft picks will be a premium next year due to salary cap issues for every nfl team I think the best trade scenario would be to trade Pettis for another player that hasn't lived up to expectations.
I bet Lynch brought up the trade to the Jets but the Jets might have balked or vice versa.
There are going to be a ton of cuts next year as all teams try and trim their salaries. Young cheap players will be invaluable

If you cut a player you don't get a comp pick for him.
