I don't mind a gamble, but I don't like getting one round's worth of value, 2 or 3 I can get behind.

No, they were the other two beasts drafted in the 3rd round, Justin Jones & B.J. Hill.
Street is just as good though, the stats are misleading because they were all such great players.
My issue is that not everyone recovers from an ACL the same player. Guys like Frank Gore and TJ Watt I'm fine with because you saw them recover and play well, so you're happy.
We screwed the pooch on this one, Lynch even said they had a 3rd round grade pre-injury. The injury was just over a month ago, that is a minimum of a two round ding. This is horrendous value.
If someone else wanted to take the gamble let them, we should have waited.

Could be wrong but I think that wasn't him. I know he performed well at the Shrine game

I would think his strength in his lower body will help with recovery

So, next year he'll be competing with Armstead at Big End. Stout dude with some ER as well.

If he gets back to 100%, Street will bounce Armstead off the roster with ease. He's an all-around better player.
