The homerism is strong on this forum.
So, if someone thinks he is a better prospect than you do, that makes them a homer?
No. But the same posters defending EVERY draft pick like they're going to be great, and attacking anyone with a different opinion, is homerism.
Attacking the posters or attacking the posts?
And again, what makes it a reach?
I'm trying to not attack the posters, but calling it "homerism." Not calling anyone a "homer" which would mean they're unable to be objective, ever. At this point I can't help but find it comedic that people are able to come on this forum and be over the top negative or positive, without repercussion. But if someone calls them out for it, mods come jumping in to save the day. This entire forum is getting weird, I'm going to try my best to just avoid certain threads. The ignore feature is a joke, because you can still see the person's name and frequency of posts.
And I'm firmly on record that we needed an edge rusher and didn't get one, instead wasting picks on positions where we have far too many players (CB), and ignoring positions of need (edge, LB). Guys who won't even play in 2018 should be signed as UDFA (if that), not drafted in the 4th round. There are quality starters available every year in round 4, and this teams needs more than a few. It's a waste of a pick, and it's what we all hated Baalke for. But nothing I say is going to prove that it was a reach, regardless of how many experts I cite saying that Street was a 6-7th round guy or UDFA. The response will be "NFL GM's are professionals and know more than everyone."
Again, I'll try to do a better job of avoiding saying anything remotely negative about a Niner player, so as not to trigger anyone.
