Man if this kid is healthy I think he will be a player. If anything a real solid 1st & 2nd down player.

He's got to be jonesing to get back on the field. I hope the pass rush benefits big time. Mean Streets!

Curious - Is this guy kind of like QWill? Seems to me this guy was HIGHLY rated out of college, then had that injury leading up to the combine (or maybe it was right after?).
I guess my question is, does this guy's potential along the interior DL kind of already push our hand to either Bosa/Allen or a trade down for another ER? Instead of taking QWill if he's there at #2.
Thoughts?

Bosa or that kid out of Kentucky will be our pick at number 2. QWILL is not our pick.

Before injury he was a late 2nd to early 4th rounder depending on your tastes. He was never thought of as an elite prospect like the guys you mentioned. Widely thought of as a potential starter, but solid rotation guy.
I can't imagine the Niners would make any offseason decisions with him in mind. That only means that if there's a chance to grab an impact player at the position...they'll do it. Street will duke it out for a role like everybody else.

IMHO:
Player like on the team: Solly
Player like in the draft: Gary

Cool - Thanks guys.
Overall, I'm excited with the FA money they'll have and high picks. I still would love to see the Niners trade for Brown with either a package of our 2nd round pick this year and something next year or...and I know it's costly, but swap our 1st round pick with the Steelers's at #20.
As long as the Niners can get 4 new quality to top line starters and get/stay HEALTHY...I really think this team will be leaps and bounds better next year.

Doubt we'd give anything more than this years second for AB.

I'm sure this is true...especially since we get a legit shot at getting THE Edge-rusher we desperately need.
Plus, I cannot imagine a team giving up more than our 2nd round pick this year. Not with all the discontent publicly known in that situation.

I have no expectations from players who get drafted with a serious injury after the crap we have drafted before who never panned out
Marcus Lattimore
Brandon Thomas
Tank Carradine

Really? It's the third year in a row with this situation under Lynch, and you see what this team has done with draft picks and salary cap room. (which is next to nothing)

Garoppolo, Sherman, Juice, Gould, Kittle, Warner, Pettis, McG. This year was just bad luck because of injuries. If players can stay healthy next season, we can get a better assessment of the team

Witherspoon, Foster ,Pettis, Thomas, and a wasted 3rd round pick to move up to get Pettis, and trading Brown for another bust. (moore) The 49ers have some keepers but their track record for the past two years have not been very good at all.

If Thomas is still playing big end next year then we either really fuked up or drafted Quinnen Williams.

I wouldn't make either of those trades our 2nd is basically a late first and swapping 2 for 20 would be a terrible trade IMO. AB is great but he is old, expensive, a headache, and lets face it he runs deep and big ben throws it up, Jimmy doesn't have an arm for that.
